First I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never get that wet-on-wet to glide
And I spent oh so many nights just thinking should I book a class
So bold as brass,
I picked up the phone at last
And there I was, at easel proud
With brush in hand, could understand
The technique of painting a cloud
I could have changed that stupid sky
I could have had a sun above

It took all the strength I had to not go again
Those painting classes are addictive, I just want to know when
And I spent oh so many nights thinking hope it don’t go wrong
Was so much fun
That painting was my number one
